If you appoint us to make your will or provide any other of our services you will be advised by Geoff Christie a retired solicitor with many years experience in the areas of law in which we specialize. Having recently given up full time practice and moved to East Yorkshire Geoff has established Christie Private Client to enable him to continue to maintin his interest in the law, run a small business and above all help the clients who instruct him.

Our business in operated through Christie Private Client Limited registered at Companies House with registered number 06933676 . Geoff until 2017 a practising solicitor is now a fully regulated member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters. In the unlikely event of an error causing loss his work is insured. We comply fully with the Code of Practice of the Institute of Professional Willwriters copies of which can be provided upon request. Geoff retains his solicitor qualification.

By keeping our overheads to a minimum we are able to provide our services without charging the fees that are  usual for the types of work which we undertake. This is one of the reasons why we will usually visit clients living locally at home thereby removing the need to provide expensive office accomodation. For all our clients and particularly those who do not live locally we are happy to provide our services using the telephone, email and the post. We can also arrange virtual appointments using Zoom or Skype.

Some of our 'fixed fees' are detailed here on our website. For other more complex work we can provide estimates. We are always pleased to discuss our fees both before and after we have been instructed.
